Symposium «Political Violence»
We were inspired by the figure «paper tigers» from traditional China, for the image for this symposium which dealt with the recent history of political violence. The image of the paper tiger, represents, on the one hand, the weakness and the rational vacuum in which this type of violence exists. On the other hand, it alludes to the utilization –in the modern era– of the repercussion of the mass media as a threatening tool with which to propagate terror.
